AT&T makes agreement to supply Dave Matthews Band ringtones

(TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- T | charts | news | PowerRating -- AT&T Inc (NYSE: T), a communications holding company, on 14 November said it has made an agreement with Dave Matthews Band that will give wireless customers first-ever access to selected ringtones.

The company also said that this initial offer is to be followed by a broader range of the popular rock band's ringtones. According to AT&T, this is the first time Dave Matthews Band ringtones have been available through any wireless carrier.

No financial details have been disclosed.

AT&T Subscribers will have the chance to purchase an exclusive Ants Marching Live master ring tone beginning this evening at the AT&T World's Loudest Pep Rally! AT&T subscribers may text "DMB" to "386" to receive the Ants Marching master tone. Fans may tune into the live webcast of Dave Matthews Band and Robert Randolph & the Family Band performing at the AT&T World's Loudest Pep Rally on www.attblueroom.com at 7:00 p.m. EST tonight and tomorrow night!

Yeah thats cool, i wonder about the depth of involvement that the band had in the decision and why they may have held out or held back in the first place and what has changed now.

T-Mobile has had DMB ringtones for close to a year?!?! Even down to that music that plays instead of hearing ringing. Of course you could always make your own and have any clip of any song.. . . at no cost!

^ yeah that. I've got a ton of DMB ringtones from t mobile. I also go to myxertones and make my own for free using the songs that tmobile doesn't have.
