This is the story of a dream come true... A WAREHOUSE UPGRADE!!!!
Camden 6-3-08 My friend and I did a little tailgating.... around 7 we decide to head in to catch a little of the opening act. We get to our seats, which were in the 3rd to last row of the upper pavilion. I got tickets through the Warehouse and was a little disappointed that we got 3rd to last row for Tuesdays show. So, we're shitting chatting.. sipping on our beers, jammin out to State Radio. Next thing you now, this guy comes up to us... I could tell he was of some importance by the clip board and passes hanging around his neck. He sits next to me and asks me if I am a member of the Warehouse... I say yes, thinking he was going to give us a t-shirt or something. After showing him my warehouse ticket.... he asks us.. "How would you like to see tonight's show from the front row?" At first I was like... "Yeah, ok dude, thanks for the laugh" He smiled and said "Really, would you like to be in the front row tonight?" I was in disbelief. "Oh my god!!! Are you serious??!!! WTF!! Dude, are you serious??!??!". He takes us all the way down to the front row. He took my old ticket.... ![]() And replaced it with this one…. AHHHHH!!! ![]() We are then pointed in the direction of another guy that is going to show us to our seat.. He goes to put a wrist band on me, but I was shaking so bad he could barely get it on. I look over at my friend Heather and tears start rolling down my face. I'll admit it... I was crying like a teenager at a New Kids on the Block concert. I just COULD NOT BELIEVE this was actually happening. We get to our seats and we are front and center. During the rest of the opening act's performance... I just sat there in a daze. It was nuts. I was afraid to leave my seat during the break after State Radio beacuase I was afraid this wasn't real. Needless to say, I didn't leave my seat all night. lol. Then it got dark.. the screen came down in front of the stage (which was actually behind me)..... Dave and the guys walk out in such a humble manner as they always do... laughing with eachother.. getting their instruments ready. It was something else. Crowd goes crazy... we hear the first notes of Dreaming Tree. I had goosebumps. Dave Matthews was literally standing 2 feet in front of me. I remember just looking up at him... trying to take it all in. Yes.. there's Dave. He's right there. 2 feet in front of me. lol. The only thing separating us from the band was the camera guy. It was freakin nuts. Throughout the show Dave was looking at us and winking and smiling.. it was crazy. The show was incredible. I was a little off to stage right, so Timmy and Boyd were directly in front of me. They acknowlegded me a quite few times. I yelled... "Timmy you Rock" .. in between songs, and he did the ol' double finger point.. right at me!!! OH, we had a moment.. hehe. It was crazy!!! Oh, and it dosen't stop there my friend. At the end of the set, as they are leaving the stage for a little break before the encore, Carter threw his drumsticks in the crowd, and HEATHER CAUGHT ONE!!! It was the drumstick he used during the entire show!!!!!! It's all split in the center and has nail marks in in and everything. Heather handed it to me and said "It's yours". She's not a big DMB fan... so she graciously handed it over knowing I would treasure it forever. Check it out. ![]() How fucking cool Is that? Are you kidding me? Front row seats… a drumstick. After the show... we walked to the car, which was a million miles away, in the rain... but no worries. You couldn't wipe the smile off my face if you tried. I got some video. It was risky trying to take pictures because of the flash. We got a pretty severe warning before the show, no cameras, no camera phones… no warning; you'll be out of here. There was no way they were gonna kick me out of that seat, so I was trying to play it cool with the cam. Here's videos I managed to get for your viewing pleasure It's myspace video... I couldn't figure out how to get the videos to post, so here are the links:All the videos are pretty short, I was too afraid to get caught. Begining of #41 http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=35522470 Sideways view of Everyday... Great Dave Shot. http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=35523193 This one is pretty cool... It's the guys setting up before Louisiana Bayou http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=35523754 Jammin out during Louisiana Bayou... Hands down the best video of the night. http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=35585981 Me and Heather: (really bad pic.. but hey who cares) ![]() Love, Peace & DMB! Jen

To be able to see yourself in the mirror and know how the music can always take you somewhere higher, always take you through depressions, and always make you happy, that is something worth to acknowledge - and adore.

Hey guys! Happy Holidays to all!
To share a bit... I have adored DMB since hearing them as a teen and will adore them until the day I die. I was lucky to start hitting the tour here in FL back in 2005 and was So Damn Lucky to make all 3 shows here this past summer. I share with you all the deep grief of loosing such an incredible musician as Roi and cherish the last concert I saw him play, 9/11/07 in Gainesville. I hope to one day add a signature- or two or three! - to my tattoo, but until then I will share what I have so far: ![]() Peace, Love and Dave! ~Cole |

![]() I do a lot of art inspired by DMB. Here's my latest. Also, I took piano lessons as an adult to learn only DMB songs. I've memorized 41 and Crash, but I can also play The Last Stop, Warehouse, Proudest Monkey and a bunch of others. The name of my company is Dreaming Tree Psychology, and I quote and acknowledge Dave in my new book. One way or another, DMB is always a part of what I'm doing. |

DMB and I go way back. My first wife saw DMB on SNL, like what she heard and asked me to pick up one of his CD's. This was 1984. We quickly fell in love with the band. DMB started playing concerts in Milwaukee at Summerfest; a 10 day long music festival with multiple stages. He was headlining the main stage for several years before he discovered Alpine Valley as a venue. I found out about his fan club late 1998 and became an early member in December of that year. The first DMB show that I attended through the fan site was June of 1999. I had two tickets that I had purchased through ticket master and then I ordered 2 tickets through the fan club. They were in the 7th row center. My wife and I had just separated and I took my two oldest children (12 and 14 year old girls) holding the extra ticket for her to come later to the show. When she never showed up that was a pretty clear reminder that my marriage was over. Needless to say I retained the membership, and my black lab; not much else. My early membership has provided me with an opportunity to enjoy awesome seats to many DMB shows. I have had front row once; at the vote for change tour show in Madison. It also prompted me to become a very minor DMB roadie. I try to go to at least one DMB show out of state every year. My new wife and I started dating about 4 years ago and DMB was one of the first big concerts we attended after getting to know one another. When DMB announced there shows in Las Vegas last year I secretly applied for tickets knowing that if I was successful I would see if she would agree to a Las Vegas wedding. I was and she did. We arrived late Friday night, picked out our chapel and handled the paperwork on Saturday morning. Saw the show Saturday night and got married Sunday afternoon. It is a little scary when you start planning major life events around a rock band. I have been to over 30 DMB shows in 13 different venues and 4 different states. I attended 3 more shows in 2007 including a road trip to Michigan. We took the fast ferry across Lake Michigan rode our road bikes along the coast before driving over toward Detroit for the show. Arrived right after a hugh storm passed over the venue. In 2008 we drove down to Columbus as our major road trip. Did the Bridgeview show but had to miss Alpine this year due to a trip to Oregon. We would love to attend the Gorge or Red Rocks some time. I realize there are fans that have been to many more shows that I have. I love music, I love live music, and I really love Dave. All 3 of my kids (24,21,17) love Dave as well and have been to many of his shows. I was able to get 6 seats to his July 8th show in Bridgeview IL in 2007. My 4 seats were 7th row on the field and Paula and I were in the stands left of stage about half way back. We could see the kids in their seats and it was gratifying to see how much fun they were having (Dad doesn't share the primo seats all that often). As long as Dave tours I know I will be in attendance at several concerts every year.
