One of the funniest stories had to be at Riverbend 2008 this past summer. My friend and I were lucky enough to sit second row pit. It was an amazing experience. So after Cornbread some guys in the pit started to chant Halloween over and over and I joined in of course and Dave talked it over with Carter shaking his head yes but started playing #27 and said I can't hear ya'll maybe if you're lucky. So a bunch of people behind me and all around us were saying "screw you guys dave will never play halloween in this shit hole." I thought to myself why are you here? So after #27 finished playing the chants started again and dave began playing everyday. The guys around said "fuck you guys look what you did, everyday is playing." They left the PIT to go get beer. As my friend and I were getting ready to enjoy everyday for the 3rd time this tour after Darien and SPAC, the band faked us out big time right into Halloween. The guys who originally started the chant started hugging us and slapping hands. The guys who left to get the beer came sprinting back and loved it.

Default DMB Fandom

I lay awake dreaming of ways to make it to Alpine WI. Full time student, business owner and a mother. So I started making purses and other items using old DMB Concert T-shirts and other memorabilia that fans send me, I made it to the Mile High Festival last year and this year my goal is Alpine. I think my bags must be good luck because alot of fans who have them got meet and greets last year. I hope this is me standing next to Dave someday!!! Thanks to all the fans that help make my dreams come true!!! You are the "Best of What's Around"

It Was The Saddest Day For All Of Us

A Poem For LeRoi

I can't Help Myself to wonder if the Grace Is Gone,
Lamenting as I walk down this Old Dirt Hill,
But it is Out of My Hands.

Was I A Fool To Think that I Let You Down,
But I don't want to Say Goodbye.

If I knew I had one Last Stop with you
I would have So Much To Say.

But now The Space Between us is great

As Recently as I remember,
But it is all Too Much.

I can't seem to find a Rhyme Or Reason
But simply wishing that you could Stay.

Lamenting, walking Everyday
Head down counting each Two Step

In One Sweet World I look up
The sun shines,
True Reflections of a beautiful Butterfly and the
Proudest Monkey glow
All I see are the Loving Wings of my Angel

You Never Know when we will say Hello Again,
But until that time I'll know that you were The Best Of What's Around.

Good Friends Are Hard To Come By & Even Harder To Forget!!!!

Peace & Love

My First Tattoo

Default dream tat

you can guess whose initials those are.

Also, I have had numerous dreams about DMB but the best dream I've had was just after Live Trax 9 (Vegas) came out. I dreamed they were in the middle of The Maker (N2) and Carter had to go pee. I was chilling on the side of the stage and he looks over at me and motions for me to come over and TAKE OVER PLAYING THE DRUMS!!! So I did and I was soooo nervous. He even stuck around for a few seconds to make sure I was holding it down. And I did surprisingly enough. So I'm looking around at the guys like "oh no they are going to notice something different any minute now and I'm going to be screwed". No one noticed until LeRoi cocked an eye up at me during his solo and did a double take. Then he looked at Dave and motioned for him to look up at the drums. Dave did his infamous double take (you know what I'm talking about) and then had this enormous grin on his face.
It was AWESOME. I felt extremely happy waking up that morning.
DMB inspires just about ever aspect of my life. I would not be a drummer if it wasn't for Carter Beauford.
I am grateful everyday for that.

p.s. didn't know the pic was THAT big.

I was fortunate enough to be able to meet Dave when they were here in Chicago on June 6th this year. I have a firedancer tattoo on my left shoulder and had said to someone - "the only other tattoo I'll ever probably get is if I can get Dave's signature on my right shoulder." I saw my opportunity, and took it!!!!!

I love this picture that I took of the whole band from Hartford as well. That was the last show that I was able to see LeRoi at.

Lastly, I just again renewed my license plate - which was inspired by the first two songs I got to hear the band play. My first live show was in 2000 at Solider Field in Chicago - 6-29-00 - and the first songs played were 41 and Warehouse and even to today they are two of my favorite songs.

My story is just from Red Rocks on 9/11. Being there to hear DMB was absolutley surreal, and to get so many favorites/classics in one night was more than I could ask for. You Never Know, #41, Crush, Rapunzel, Halloween, Pig, LIOG, Lover Lay Down.. I kept looking around me in partial disbelief that I was actually there and luckily in the first 10 rows. One night I'll definitely never forget
